Shin Megami Tensei 5, the next main series game for the franchise, was originally announced in 2017. For years, fans have been wondering about the status of the game, and now they’ve got an answer. “In this epic role-playing game order itself has crumbled and chaos reigns over all,” Nintendo said in a news release. Shin Megami Tensei 5 will have a “simultaneous global launch” on Switch in 2021.
Players will be plunged into the demonic, post-apocalyptic modern-day Tokyo in Shin Megami Tensei 5. “The time for creation has come, follow your will and decide the world’s fate,” the game’s description reads.
As for Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne HD Remaster, the 17-year-old game is expected to be a “full high-definition remake,” according to Nintendo. The game was originally released in 2003 in Japan and in North American in 2004 on PlayStation 2.
